All personal information collected by the Australian Academy of Science is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. When you browse the Academy's website, you do so anonymously; we don't collect your email address or your machine code.
The Academy does collect information from its Fellows and from others who register for conferences or who purchase textbooks or request other materials from the Academy. This information is used for sales transactions, information regarding upcoming events, maintaining the Fellows database and Directory. This information will not be forwarded to any other organisation. If you wish to have your information removed or altered, please contact the Academy by e-mail, phone, fax or post.
