Transcript of an interview with Professor Frank Fenner
The Fenner Medal recognises outstanding contributions to science by
Professor F.J. Fenner, AC, CMG, MBE, MD, FAA, FRS. Its purpose is to recognise
distinguished research in biology (excluding the biomedical sciences)
by scientists under 40 years at the closing date, except in the case of
significant interruptions to a research career. The award is made annually
and is restricted to candidates who are normally resident in Australia
and for research conducted mainly in Australia.
NB If a proposed candidate is already the recipient of an Academy award, the second award must be for a distinct, additional, body of work undertaken since the first award, and/or work in a different field.
