Moran award

The Moran Award for History of Science Research

Closing date for submissions: 30 November 2012

Applications are invited from postgraduate students and other ind ependent researchers with expertise in the history of Australian science for the 2012 Moran Award for History of Science Research.

The purpose of the award is to encourage use of the Basser Library collections, especially by younger researchers. It can be used towards travel and accommodation costs associated with travelling to Canberra to use the library. The $2500 award is offered annually and generally to one person, but may be split between candidates at the selection committee’s discretion.

Applications should be limited to three pages and include:

  • curriculum vitae
  • brief outline of the proposed project
  • Basser Library collection/s to be consulted
  • budget.

Please attach two referees’ reports to your application. All applicants will be notified by the end of November.
