MS 070 – HATT, HAROLD H

Hatt came to Australia in 1938 as lecturer in organic chemistry at the University of Melbourne, then moved to CSIRO, where he was Officer in Charge of the Organic Chemistry Section of the Division of Industrial Chemistry 1941-60. He was an important figure in the study of the utilisation of Australian chemical resources, particularly sugars, oils, fats and waxes.
