MS 082 - AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF ANATOMY
The Australian Institute of Anatomy was established as the National Museum of Australian Zoology in 1924. It was built to house the unique collection of preserved specimens of Australian fauna which was presented to the nation by the late Sir Colin Mackenzie. The name was changed to the Australian Institute of Anatomy in 1931, the year in which the building in McCoy Circuit opened. This building now houses the National Film and Sound Archive.
