AUSTRALIAN INSTITUTE OF GEOSCIENTISTS
The Australian Institute of Geoscientists was incorporated on 20 October 1981. Its formation was at the instigation of the Geological Society of Australia, filling the need for a national Professional Organisation. Dr A.F. Trendall (GSA president), C.L. Adamson and K. Warner headed committees leading to its formation from 1970-1980.
