The Australia-China Energy Symposium was held in Sydney from 5-7 November 2006. This was the third symposium in a series being organised by the Australian Academy of Science, the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with funding from the Australian Government Department of Education, Science and Training and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Close to forty researchers from both countries met to discuss leading-edge research and technological developments to tap into new energy sources and to ensure that conventional energies can be used more efficiently.
The symposium was divided into 3 workshops:
