Councillor Robert Bell

Cr Robert BellRobert Bell has academic qualifications in Human Pathology/Science (University of NSW). He was Mayor of Gosford City Council for six years and Board Member of Sydney Electricity (1984-1988). He was a Founding Trustee of the Hawkesbury Nepean Trust in 1993, and Chair of the Hawkesbury Nepean Catchment Management Board (2002-2004). He was also Chair of the Hawkesbury Nepean CMA Local Government Advisory Group (comprising 22 councils from Gosford to Goulburn).

Robert was awarded the Centenary Medal in 2000 for his contribution to local government. Other positions held include Vice President Local Government Association of NSW, Chair of the LGSA Water Management Committee, and Chair of the Federal Government NWI NSW Water Loss Program. He is past Chair and current member of the Gosford Wyong Water Authority. Robert has been Chair of 13 other boards, authorities, and committees relating to water, catchment management and environment in a 25-year history of local government service. He is currently Vice President of the Local Government Association of NSW.
