Stephen Dovers is with the Fenner School of Environment and Society, Australian National University, Canberra, where he undertakes research and teaching in the policy and institutional dimensions of environment and sustainability. Among his recent works are the books Environment and sustainability policy (Federation Press 2005), Institutional change for sustainable development (Edward Elgar 2004), and (with Karen Hussey) the forthcoming edited volume, Water and Australian society (CSIRO Publishing).
