Martin Grabert Dr Martin Grabert
Director, COST Office

Martin Grabert was appointed Director of the COST Office in June 2005. Prior to this, and after a research career in aircraft engineering, he held a variety of management positions, including Managing Director of the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations in Brussels and head of the research section in the central administration of the Technical University of Berlin. In addition, for ten years he was Professor for European Integration Policy at the Europa-University Viadrina, Germany

This presentation will discuss COST, its role within Europe’s science, research and innovation system, and its ability to act as a gateway to the European Research Area. Through the International Science Linkages program, the Australian Government funds the Australian Academy of Science to support involvement by Australian researchers within COST Actions.
