Research visits to Japan 2015-2016 OPEN

Applications are now being received for research visits to Japan commencing between 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2016. Proposals in any field of the natural sciences, basic and applied, including mathematics and engineering science, the humanities and the social sciences, will be considered.

Scientific Visits to Japan 2014-2015

Ten leading Australian researchers have been awarded scientific grants under the Australia-Japan Bilateral Exchange Program, which dates back to 1979, for travel commencing between 1 April 2014 and 31 March 2015. The program will enable the researchers to collaborate with researchers in institutes affiliated with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

HOPE Meetings with Nobel Laureates

Since 2008, the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) has held a HOPE Meeting with Nobel Laureates and around 110 outstanding graduate students and young researchers, specially selected from countries around the Asia-Pacific region.

Fellowships to India

The Academy wishes to advise that no further rounds of the Australia-India Fellowships are planned. The Department of Industry is currently not in a position to continue to fund the Fellowships.
