Top Australian scientists honoured by admission to Academy

The Australian Academy of Science will admit 16 of Australia’s top scientists to its Fellowship on Thursday 7 May as part of its annual science celebration Science at the Shine Dome which runs from 6–8 May. They will also present talks on their cutting edge research on Wednesday 6 May. Media are welcome to interview new Fellows.
The Fellowship of the Academy is made up of over 400 of Australia's top scientists, distinguished in the physical and biological sciences and their applications. Each year 16 scientists, judged by their peers to have made an exceptional contribution to knowledge in their field, are elected into the Fellowship. The new Fellows are:
