How household water pollutes waterways

Describe what happens to the liquid wastes that leave your household via the toilet, sink, shower, bathroom basin, laundry tub, washing machine and dishwasher outlets and outside drains.

List those wastes that should never be poured into these outlets and those which it would be better to use in small quantities.

Find out how solvents, oils and other harmful chemicals should be disposed of in your locality.
