Peter Robertson studied for a Master of Science degree at the University of Melbourne before pursuing a career as a science editor and writer, beginning in Denmark. He is the author of numerous articles on science, including a book on the birth of quantum physics in the 1920s. His second book Beyond Southern Skies Radio Astronomy and the Parkes Telescope was shortlisted for the prestigious Eureka Prize. Peter has worked for a variety of organisations, including a position as research associate in the History & Philosophy of Science Department at the University of Melbourne. For most of his career he worked in the publishing group at CSIRO where he was managing editor of the Australian Journal of Physics.
