The PrimaryConnections Indigenous perspectives framework aims to accelerate science and literacy learning outcomes for Indigenous students and increase non-Indigenous students’ and teachers’ awareness and understanding of Indigenous perspectives.

The framework is underpinned by six key concept areas which are non-hierarchical and interconnected, and includes: a teaching and learning guide; curriculum unit links to relevant Indigenous perspectives; and a professional learning module to support teachers’ development and implementation of relevant, contextualised and embedded Indigenous perspectives.

PrimaryConnections gratefully acknowledges the contributions of those involved with development of the Indigenous perspectives framework, which is based on national research findings and collaboration with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups, cultural consultants, Indigenous education and linguistic experts and other stakeholders.
