Professional learning | Indigenous Perspectives
A 'pilot' unit (Plants in action) with the embedded Draft Indigenous Perspectives has been developed and is currently being trialled in several West Australian schools.
Professional learning and school visits were conducted to introduce the PrimaryConnections programme and the unit. Teachers involved in the trial will provide feedback and work samples which will be analysed and reviewed before the unit is published.
It is anticipated that over time all PrimaryConnections units will be revised to include an Indigenous Perspectives. There will also be a dedicated section on the website.
PrimaryConnections Project Officer Robyn Bull visited Badu Island in the Torres Strait in May 2007 and consulted on the Indigenous Perspectives of PrimaryConnections
