The Australian Academy of Science offered a special program for teachers
in conjunction with Science at the Shine Dome. Each state
and territory Catholic, independent and state education authority was
invited to send one representative. In addition, science teachers who
received Australian Academy of Science Teacher Awards
also attended.

This symposium featured eight of Australia's top young scientists
all previous winners of the Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Physical
Scientist of the Year or the Science Minister's Prize for Life Scientist
