Teacher feedback from 2005

New Fellows seminar

  • As a teacher this was the most exciting section of Science at the Shine Dome. The broad range of science presented by enthusiastic, committed scientists provided a shot in the arm for my teaching.

  • Presenters were extremely well spoken and enthusiastic about their research.

  • Great for a science teacher to be in the middle of things.
Awards and admission of New Fellows
  • Very inspirational. Such wonderful passion shown, for so many incredibly diverse fields.

  • What an honor to be present at such an important event.
Symposium: Recent advances in stem cell science and therapies
  • Extremely interesting and relevant. It was fantastic to be at such a high-calibre meeting.

  • It was great to see the advances in, and future for, this research which is often portrayed in a negative light in the media.

  • Heaps of information to take back to the class.
Interaction with other delegates
  • I have quite a number of contacts now that I intend networking with.

  • People were friendly, intelligent, fascinating and very willing to share observations, opinions and understanding.

  • An unrivalled opportunity to mix and socialise with some of the brightest brains.

General

  • I would like to make a number of changes in my school, based on the information provided by Academy Fellows.

  • The whole experience was tremendously enriching, both personally and professionally.
