The basis of the professional learning approach will be to establish a professional learning community (PLC) in each school, consisting of teachers of science and laboratory technicians. A Science by Doing Coordinator (most probably the Head of Science) will be trained to facilitate the professional learning community in their school, with support from the Science by Doing Team. Coordinators will attend a three-day workshop, modelled on inquiry, which will provide a guide for facilitating change in their professional learning community.
