We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners of the lands on which the Academy Fellows and employees live and work, and to their elders, past and present.

About the role

The Academy’s graphic design capability is recognised as high quality and creative. The Graphic Designer works as part of the Production Services team to drive engagement with science and support the Academy’s activities through publications, digital assets and other material.

Along with regular corporate work there are frequent opportunities to suggest concepts, try new things and show your creative side, including making graphics for social media and events and presenting complex information as infographics and data visualisations.

This ongoing part-time (15 hours per week) position works closely with our existing Graphic Designer.

Our preference is for the person in this position to work Monday and Tuesday, or Monday to Wednesday, so we have a designer available each day.

The role is based in Canberra, but requests for remote work within Australia will be considered.
