Dr Peta Dennington is currently employed at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, based in Sydney, as Transfusion Medicine Specialist and has worked for the Australian Red Cross Blood Service for over 25 years.

Her major interests include:

• adverse reaction reporting and haemovigilance
• clinical management of platelet refractoriness and alloimmunisation
• clinical management of Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia (NAIT)
• change management related to the introduction of new blood components and services
