Dr Sue Meek was Chief Executive of the Australian Academy of Science from 2008 to 2016, and was Australia's inaugural Gene Technology Regulator from December 2001. She has over 30 years experience working in a variety of capacities at the interface of industry, academia and government. She has a PhD in Marine Biology, a Master of Science in Oceanography and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Microbiology.
