Surprising science: Prawns and pipes

Speakers: Dr Ha Truong (CSIRO) and Dr James Gong (Deakin University)

Dr Ha Truong is an Aquaculture Nutritionist at CSIRO, with expertise in diet and ingredient evaluation, nutrient utilisation, and digestive physiology of prawns. Through collaborations with industry and academia, her research aims to improve the sustainability and viability of Australian aquaculture through improved diet formulation and feeding strategies.

Dr Jinzhe (James) Gong is passionate about solving pressing issues in the water industry through innovation and collaboration. His key research interests and expertise include Smart Water Network design and data analytics, leak and burst management in water distribution systems, and condition assessment of civil infrastructure. James is currently a Senior Lecturer of Water Engineering at Deakin University.
