David Solomon

David Solomon is the inventor of the world’s first plastic banknote which was issued as the Australian bicentennial ten-dollar note in 1988. His career has focused on polymer chemistry, particularly free radical chemistry. David has been recognised for his contributions to science by election to the Royal Society, London, and other learned societies. He is a Companion of the Order of Australia and an Honorary Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
