The Academy made some great achievements during its reporting year of April 2014 to March 2015. Highlights included the continuing and widespread uptake of its education programs Primary Connections and Science by Doing in Australian schools; the making of 19 submissions and representations to government; the reporting of the Academy or its spokespeople on more than 1600 occasions in the news; the production of Brain Box, a new series of videos about scientists; the commencement of an initiative to improve gender equity in science, based on a UK model; and the delivery of a wide range of public presentations, conferences, workshops and publications to promote understanding of science.
