Meeting of Chairs of National Committees for Science

National Committee Chairs and Academy staff at the meeting in Melbourne

The Chairs of the Academy’s 22 National Committees for Science and members of the Academy’s Executive Committee met at The University of Melbourne on 25 March for a full-day roundtable planning meeting. The meeting provided an opportunity for the Chairs to share their vision for their respective disciplines and discuss issues of concern within their discipline. Interesting discussions were held on strategies to engage with the Australian and international science communities, government and early- and mid-career researchers. Ways that each committee could raise the profile of its discipline, and science in general in Australia, were also discussed.

A report of the meeting will be published on the Academy’s website.
