Honours and awards to Fellows

Dr Graeme Moad AC FAA FTSE FRS was one of two Australian scientists elected this year to the Royal Society, the oldest scientific academy in continuous existence.

Dr Moad, who is based at CSIRO, is a world leader in polymer chemistry. He was elected to the Australian Academy of Science in 2012 and awarded the David Craig Medal and Lecture in 2020.

And Professor George Willis FAA of the University of Newcastle was recently selected to receive a Humboldt Research Award, which is conferred on internationally leading researchers of all disciplines in recognition of their academic record to date.  Recipients are invited to carry out research projects of their own choice in cooperation with specialist colleagues in Germany.
