Louis Moresi

Louis Moresi has made major advances in the discipline of geodynamics helping to expand the use of computational physics into mainstream geology and tectonics. His work combines deep physical insights into the nature of convection in the Earth's lithosphere and mantle with novel approaches to computation. He is a champion of open-source scientific software and the originator of several community codes that have made quantitative modelling accessible across multiple disciplines in the Earth sciences.
