Jenny Stauber
Image Description
Jennifer Stauber is an international leader in ecotoxicology, with particular emphasis on metal contaminants in aquatic environments. Her research, spanning the interface of chemistry and biology, has greatly advanced our understanding of the toxicity of contaminants in organisms, from single-celled microalgae to humans. She has invented a range of new risk assessment protocols that are applied worldwide in research programs, industry and government, including the national water and sediment quality guidelines for environmental regulation in Australasia. In recognition of her ground-breaking research on environmental risk assessment, Stauber is invited as expert ecotoxicologist to many national and international advisory bodies.
