The Academy responds to the six issues papers of the Strategic Examination of Research and Development (SERD), calling for stronger national coordination, long-term strategic planning and increased investment.

On 1 September 2025, the Academy made a submission on the Algal Blooms in South Australia inquiry.

On 26 July 2025, the Academy made a submission on the Australian Government’s economic reform roundtable.

On 13 June 2025, the Academy made a submission on the Statutory Review of the Data Availability and Transparency Act 2022.

On 22 May 2025, the Academy made a submission to Jobs and Skills Australia’s Generative Artificial Intelligence Capacity Study.

On 16 April 2025, the Academy made a submission to the Australian Government’s Strategic Examination of Research and Development (R&D).

The Academy endorses the ARC’s dedication to early-stage research and fostering a greater appetite for risk within the National Competitive Grants Program.

The EMCR Forum welcomes the goals and focus of the Australian Research Council (ARC) in encouraging high quality and creative early-stage research.
