Members of the executive committee of the Early- and Mid-Career Researcher Forum held their annual meeting in February. Their main focus this year is to increase membership and learn more about the EMCR community in Australia so they can better represent it. They also took the opportunity to meet with and get to know the members of the Academy’s Council.

What do postdocs need to succeed? A survey of current standing and future directions for Australian researchers was recently published by the EMCR Forum executive. The peer reviewed article is based on the most recent postdoctoral survey run by the EMCR Forum with the aim of understanding the make-up of the Australian EMCR community and the issues affecting it.
