Emeritus Professor Adrian Lee FRSN was Professor of Microbiology at UNSW from 1990 to 2006. In his PhD at the Rockefeller University in 1968, he was the first person to culture Helicobacter (from mice). His early work was an important contributor to Marshall and Warren’s Nobel Prize Winning isolation of Helicobacter pylori at Royal Perth Hospital in 1982.
