Academy Chief Executive resigns—effective July

April 08, 2016

The Chief Executive, Dr Sue Meek, has announced her intention to leave the Academy in July to focus on other professional commitments in the science sector, and increase her engagement in some additional interest areas.

Academy President, Professor Andrew Holmes, said: “I accepted Sue's resignation with some reluctance. She has held the position for almost eight years, during which time the activities led by the Academy have expanded enormously. I thank Sue for her dedication and commitment to the Academy and for leading us so successfully in a number of bold and ambitious projects.”

The Academy’s Council is working to identify a suitable successor.
