EMCR forum runs engagement events around the country

October 20, 2014

The Australian Early- and Mid-Career Researcher forum of the Australian Academy of Science serves as the voice of the country's future scientific and research leaders. We currently reach over 3,200 individuals and are seeking to broaden and increase our engagement with Australian EMCRs to better represent their views, needs and vision to decision makers within the government, Members of Parliament and key funding agencies.

In seeking to broaden our engagement we are holding a series of networking events around the country with special guest speakers, where we will provide an overview of the forum's activities and ways to get involved. Come along to our events in:

  • Melbourne: afternoon tea on Thursday 30 October with Ms Leonie Walsh, Lead Scientist of Victoria
  • Perth: afternoon tea on Wednesday 5 November with Professor Cheryl Praeger AM FAA, Academy Foreign Secretary
  • Sydney: details tbc
