The Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO today launched the Academy’s new book, Negotiating our future: Living scenarios for Australia to 2050.
Developed by a team of 35 social and natural scientists led by Dr Michael Raupach, the book proposes tools to steer Australia’s approaches to long-term economic, social and environmental sustainability.
“This is a project of vision and courage; it extends our boundaries and allows Australia to take control of how it approaches the future,” said Academy President, Professor Suzanne Cory.
