Academy Fellow and mathematician Professor Nalini Joshi has been awarded the London Mathematical Society Hardy Fellowship for 2015.
Named after former Soceity President G.H. Hardy, the Fellowship is awarded to a distinguished overseas mathematician and asks them to deliver the Hardy Lecture at the Society's annual meeting.
Normally the Fellowship is awarded in even numbered years but Professor Joshi has been awarded a special Fellowship in 2015 to coincide with the Society's 150th anniversary year.
The Fellowship includes a long list of eminent past winners, including Academy corresponding member Terrence Tao.
