Young scientists' support now available for Tsunami conference

Support is now available for early- and mid-career researchers from the Asia-Pacific region to attend the 7th South China Sea Tsunami Workshop.

The Beijing Centre for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (BICTAM) is providing support to attend the workshop which will bring together coastal physical oceanographers, geophysicists, and engineers to discuss tsunami hazard mitigation in the South China Region.

The workshop will take place in the National Museum of Natural Science, the largest museum in Taiwan, from 18 November this year. EMCR support can include a waiver of the registration fee for the workshop.

Applications should be sent to wangxy@cstam.org.cn and must be received by October 30, 2014.
