Impact of COVID-19 on women in the STEM workforce, Asia–Pacific

March 31, 2021

How has your life been impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic? Did you experience work-from-home or a lockdown? How did it impact upon your caring responsibilities, career development or personal relationships?

The Academy is conducting a project called ‘Impact of COVID-19 on women in the STEM workforce, Asia–Pacific’, funded by the Australian Government Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

If you know someone living in the Asia–Pacific region, or you personally have an interest in sharing your perspectives on this topic, the Academy hopes to hear insights and experiences about the challenges faced by you or your organisation due to the pandemic.

Professionals of all genders working in higher education, research, government, industry sectors, as well as STEM entrepreneurs from across the Asia–Pacific are invited to participate in the survey and share your personal stories. STEM refers to science, technology, engineering and mathematics, which also includes the natural, physical and life sciences, mathematics, engineering, ICT and technology-related disciplines.

Please pass on the information to your overseas colleagues and friends so all can have their say in the survey and submit personal stories of 500-1500 word length, in English.

The survey and submission of stories close 7 April 2021.
