Andy Thomas Space Foundation EOS Space Systems Research Awards

Three prizes of $10,000 each are available for Australian researchers or doctoral candidates for the best research project proposals in specified space technology fields. These awards are sponsored by EOS Space Systems.

PhD opportunities: SmartSat Research Centre

The SmartSat Cooperative Research Centre develop the know-how and technologies in advanced telecommunications and IoT connectivity, intelligent satellite systems and Earth observation analytics. SmartSat invites applications for PhD scholarships (full or top up). SmartSat and its partners have collaborative arrangements with universities from several countries to enable co-supervision of doctoral studies by Australian and other universities.

Order of Australia Honours

Nominations received from the public to recognise people who have contributed above and beyond to the Australian community or humanity at large. To encourage diverse representation of the community, nominations of women are being sought.

Rolling deadline—appointments in the Order of Australia are announced on Australia Day in January and on the Queen’s Birthday public holiday in June.
