Get to know the brains behind the science: new Academy podcast

The Australian Academy of Science today launched Brain Box, an exciting new series of video podcast interviews with Australian scientists.

Brain Box features short clips of scientists speaking about their passions, motivations, heroes and experiences. The first three scientists to be featured on the new vodcast are doing exciting research into medicine and climate change:

• Associate Professor Bryan Fry – venom expert, University of Queensland
• Professor Ingrid Scheffer – epilepsy specialist, University of Melbourne and the Florey Institute of Neuroscience
• Professor Matthew England – oceanographer and climate scientist, UNSW

Academy President Professor Andrew Holmes said Brain Box is a chance to show the human side of Australian scientists.

The videos will be released monthly, and are available for free on YouTube and iTunes.
