The Academy's education programs, Science by Doing and Primary Connections, have hit the ground running in 2015.
Registrations to the Science by Doing website, the Academy's high school science program, has seen a large spike with the beginning of the new school term, and now exceeds 33,000 registrations in total.
The Science by Doing team has also been conducting teacher workshops in Adelaide, Canberra and Hobart to promote the development of Professional Learning Communities in high school science faculties.
Late last month, Primary Connections provided professional learning for Primary Science specialists on behalf of the Victorian Department of Education and Training with workshops designed to support and develop teachers who have already undertaken professional learning through Primary Connections.
A highlight of the workshop was a fascinating talk from Jenny Graves the Academy's former Secretary of Education and Public Awareness on genetics.
Primary Connections has also launched its new Interactive Teaching Resources which are now available for purchase here.
