The Scientific Visits to China allowed Australian professional scientists, to visit China to collaborate with researchers in institutions associated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Funding was provided to each successful applicant as a contribution towards travel between Australia and the host institution(s) and a living allowance for a period between 1 and 14 days at a non-CAS institute. The Chinese Academy of Sciences provided accommodation, meals and travel for a minimum of 14 days at a CAS institute.
