I’m delighted to present Issue 8 of Pathways. I’d like to first thank our outgoing editor, Adrian Carter, for everything he’s put into the newsletter. You’re a tough act to follow, Adrian! As is customary, I would also like to sincerely thank Sandra Gardam for her help in putting this newsletter together.
Mr Simon McKeon AO Chancellor, Monash University

Dr Michael Crichton EMCR Forum Executive member and co-convenor of Science Pathways 2016 @michaelc1983
Earlier this year, I was very fortunate to join the Australian Academy of Science for a three-month paid internship in the Academy’s Science Policy team. The internship was the first of its kind offered by the Academy, and provided me with a unique opportunity to learn about its policy and advocacy work.
