2018 Haddon Forrester King Medal Award Dinner

The Haddon Forrester King Medal, sponsored by Rio Tinto, recognises the contributions of the late Haddon King to the application of the geological and related sciences to the search for mineral deposits. The award is made to a scientist, resident in Australia or elsewhere. The award is for work of particular relevance to the discovery, evaluation and exploitation of mineral deposits, including the hydrocarbons. The medal is sponsored by Rio Tinto.

Along with the Haddon Forrester King medal, an honorarium of $3,000 is presented to the awardee at a dinner organised by the Academy along with $7,000 to go towards a short Australian lecture tour.
