The EMCR Forum has released a consultation draft of a discussion paper on interactions between academia and industry. It gives an overview of some of the similarities and differences between how science is done in academia, the private sector, government organisations and elsewhere.

The call for applications to attend the 8th Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) are now open. Applications close 14 February 2020.

Details

The 8th HLF will take place from September 20 to September 25, 2018. The application period for the 8th HLF runs from November 19, 2019 until February 14, 2020. Young researchers at all phases of their careers (undergrad, PhD or postdoc) are encouraged to complete and submit their applications by February 14, 2020.

In September 2016, the Australian Academy of Science endorsed the InterAcademy Partnership for Health (IAP for Health) statement on improving the reproducibility of biomedical research.

Revised immunisation booklet distributed across Australia

The Academy's immunisation booklet has been revised in response to renewed concerns around immunisation rates.
