Last year I had the opportunity to join the Australian Academy of Science for a three month paid internship with the science policy team. I’m currently a third year PhD candidate at the Australian National University and CSIRO Agriculture studying ways to improve photosynthesis with the ultimate goal of increasing yield in important food crops.

One bright little amber eye, regarding you almost quizzically. You can almost hear the internal question “what are you and what are you doing here?"

Science at the Shine Dome

Every year, Australia’s foremost scientists gather at Science at the Shine Dome. Prestigious awards are presented, high achievers are admitted to the Fellowship of the Australian Academy of Science, and a special program of events for EMCRs aims to enthuse and educate young researchers.

Purpose: To advise Council on the award of the Award, in accordance with Standing Order XXII.
