Decadal plan for biosystematics and taxonomy in Australasia

Many species of living things are still to be classified. This peacock spider from Western Australia was previously known as Saitis speciosus but has now been included in Maratus. Image: Flickr/Jurgen Otto CC BY-NC-ND 2.0

A decadal plan for biosystematics and taxonomy in Australasia is currently under development, as a partnership between the Australian Academy of Science, The Royal Society Te Apārangi (New Zealand), and the biosystematics and taxonomy communities in Australia and New Zealand, with funding from the Ian Potter Foundation and community partners.

This page will be updated during its development, including information about how you can be involved.
