Australia’s Future in Space: a strategic plan for space science is being developed through extensive community consultation. Initial consultation has been completed. Further consultation of the entire draft can be expected in late September. This process ensures that information from the perspectives of the learned academies, universities, government agencies and industry is collected and considered when developing the plan.
This webpage will be updated as opportunities to provide input arise.
A summary of the draft is available for public consultation below. The full draft plan will be available at a later consultation opportunity.
The committee are encouraging members of the community to provide feedback and questions on the plan. If you would like to add your input, or that of your organisation, please submit your comments or attach your feedback using this form.
The committee are currently seeking images to feature throughout the plan. They are looking for images that encompass and boasts Australian Space Science demonstrating the diversity of the people and the field and encourage submissions from all fields of Space Science.
The images will need to be publication-quality, with a short description, a credit line and must have permission of use from the owner of the image and any individuals featured within the image.
The type of images could include but are not limited to individuals or groups in the field/working, satellites, earth observation, aerial data or even concept designs.
