Travelling Fellowships and research award announced

The Academy of Science today announced the recipients of its esteemed travelling lectureships and a history of science research award.

The Travelling Fellowships allow international scientists to visit Australian research institutions and give public lectures, as well as enabling Australian scientists to share their expertise overseas.

• The 2016 Selby Travelling Fellowship was awarded to Dr Frederico Rosei from the Institut Nationale de la Recherche Scientifique, Canada.
• The 2016 Graeme Caughley Travelling Fellowship was awarded to Associate Professor Mike Letnic from the University of New South Wales (UNSW)
• The 2016 Rudi Lemberg Travelling Fellowship was awarded to Professor Lawrence J Berliner from the University of Denver.

The Academy also awarded Dr Francesco Gerali the Moran Award for History of Science Research  which includes a research grant of $2500.
