Elizabeth and Frederick White Research Conference

Integrated Earth 2023

Integrated Earth 2023 aims to integrate Earth systems expertise and data better to address complex Earth systems challenges that Australia faces. This event will be run in a face-to-face hybrid format from 12 – 13 September 2023 and is free for all to attend.

It is being produced by members of the National Earth and Environmental Sciences Facilities Forum (NEESFF), including TERN, AuScope, NCI, ARDC, IMOS and ACCESS-NRI.

Due to limited capacity onsite, the organisers are asking for expressions of interest across five Earth systems (geosphere, biosphere, cryosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere) to hear opinions on opportunities for scientific collaboration and data integration to achieve an Integrated Earth.

There will be unlimited online participation.

About the Elizabeth and Frederick White Research Conference Award

This event is partially funded by the Elizabeth and Frederick White Research Conference Award.

With the generous support of the late Lady Elizabeth White MBBS and the late Sir Frederick White FAA FRS, the Australian Academy on Science established support for research conferences in the physical and mathematical sciences related to the solid Earth, the terrestrial oceans, Earth's atmosphere, solar-terrestrial science, space sciences and astronomy.

The purpose of the conferences is to advance at the most fundamental level of the understanding of the subject, to introduce to Australian research new aspects or directions, and to encourage participation of overseas scientists.
